Transformers - Revenge of the Fallen (2009)

    http://movies.ign.com/articles/937/937042p1.html

    Words from Michael Bay himself.

First there will be a teaser poster soon after the new year, and the teaser trailer will be out either in the theaters early Feb. or on the Superbowl. Cannot decide yet. I'm going to release some set stills on this site in a few weeks. I'll keep you informed. Going back to do more selects now from my portable avid that I take home from work. It's late, see you.

My favorite Superbowl Spot. Congratulations Mr. Bay, you did it again.

I would be disappointed if it was different

lol I'm not saying it should be different I'm just pointing out the classicness of it all. "Were making a sequel? Oh lets make it bigger than the last!"

That's definitely how things work in Michael Bay's universe

As one of the few people on the planet who didn't like the first one, I was hoping the second would be better but after seeing this I'm not so sure. WTF is that thing with the giant wheel?? Why couldn't they try to keep it a little closer to the cartoon?
You're waiting for a train, a train that will take you far away. You know where you hope this train will take you, but you can't be sure. But it doesn't matter - because we'll be together.

    To answer your questions:

    1. That big wheel transformer is actually a part of DEVASTATOR

    2. They are keeping it close to the cartoon; they're just trying to be realistic as well, something they succeeded with doing in the first movie.

    and,

    3. Why did you hate the first one anyway? It's Michael Bay at his finest!

Actually I believe the big one is The Fallen, which is actually a robot, not just an adjective.

    Through power, I gain victory.
Through victory, my chains are broken.
    The Force shall free me.

no, it's one of the constructicons. They've yet to say who or WHAT the Fallen is.

When I was little, there were two cartoons that I watched constantly, G.I. Joe and Transformers. Had a pretty good collection of the toys as well. I was stoked when the movie was coming out and I am a big fan of Michael Bay so I figured it was in good hands. Doesn't hurt when Speilberg is also a producer. Perhaps I had expectations that were too high. I guess it came down to what I had pictured in my head and then what I saw were completely different.

I didn't like Megatron. I understand that he couldn't be a gun but they still could have at least made him appear more like he did in robot form. They changed Bonecruser from being a bulldozer to the military vehicle that he was so I'm not sure if they can bring him back as a Constructicon. Devastator was in the first one as a tank which I hope was a mistake on someone's part. The whole masturbation scene was silly and should have been left out as I also don't think it was appropriate in a movie aimed at children.

pg13 all depends on the movie. i let my then 6yr old watch transformers as well as other movies. he found incredible enjoyment when bumblebee peed on the sector 7 guy (cant remember his name) ....

Firts rule about movies based in old series (and SPECIALLY cartoons or animes)... never espect the best.

To the first movie, I bet about spectacular visual effects (is Bay after all) and i wan't dissapointed, but about the story... I had real issues to beleave that could be good.

And well.. wasn't good, but bad neither. Could be a lot better, that's no doubt about that. As a movie for past time, it's goooooood.

Hope this second had evolve in the story issue, but again, better not spect something really good. But the visual effects will be unforgeteable!.

And "Devastator" was Brawl in fact, the name Devastator was and error in the post production (it was his name in pre-production), and late to fix it when they realize the mistake.
